10-Day Tanzania Birding Safari with Wings Explorers Tours
A high-density 10-day birding program through the Arusha foothills, Maasai Steppe, Tarangire, Ngorongoro and the central Serengeti, combining montane forest, alkaline lakes, dry savanna, wetlands and kopje habitats.
About this tour
This 10-day northern Tanzania birding circuit moves from the garden and riverine habitats around Arusha to Mount Meru forest, the Maasai Steppe, Tarangire, the Ngorongoro Highlands and Crater, and the central Serengeti.
The route is designed for intensive field observation across a wide habitat range. Daily plans identify the principal ecosystem, focused birding activity and route-specific target species, while allowing flexibility for local conditions and bird movement.
Highlights include East African endemics and regional specialties, montane forest birds, wetland species, lovebirds, barbets, bustards, cranes, nightjars, eagles and vultures.
