Sitta krueperi
Krüper's Nuthatch is a small bird species belonging to the family Sittidae. It is characterized by its distinctive blue-grey upperparts, white underparts, and a black eyestripe. This nuthatch is known for its agile and acrobatic foraging behavior, often seen climbing up and down tree trunks in search of insects and seeds. It primarily inhabits mature coniferous and mixed forests in mountainous regions, where it builds its nest in tree cavities. Krüper's Nuthatch is a non-migratory species and can be found in parts of the Middle East and the Caucasus region. Its conservation status is currently categorized as Least Concern by the IUCN.
