A ten-hour private birding day linking several Lesvos habitats, with the route selected around migration, resident specialities, weather and personal targets.
About this tour
A full day provides room to compare the contrasting bird communities of Lesvos with local guide and environmental scientist Eleni Galinou.
Rather than follow a standard circuit regardless of conditions, Eleni selects a combination of areas that makes sense on the date. The possibilities range from Kalloni Gulf salt pans, coastal wetlands and cultivated ground to central olive country, western rocky scrub and oak woodland, or southern pine forest and coastal sites.
The usual schedule is approximately 08:30 to 19:30 and contains a one-hour lunch break within the ten-hour guiding period. A longer dawn-to-dusk format can also be discussed. The extra field time is useful for covering more than one region, responding to fresh migration and balancing broad birding with individual target or photography goals.

What does the ten-hour duration include?
It is the full guiding period, normally about 08:30–19:30, with a one-hour lunch break included in that schedule.
Is a dawn-to-dusk day possible?
Yes. A longer field day is available by request and should be raised when sending the inquiry.
How is the full-day route decided?
Eleni weighs the season, recent sightings, weather, desired species and photography interests before selecting the most useful combination of areas.
How are breeding birds approached?
Recorded vocalisations are not used in the breeding season. Fieldcraft and knowledge of established territories are used to seek views with minimal disruption.
Are transport and lunch part of the price?
No. The EUR 220 price is for guiding and the listed optical and checklist support; vehicle arrangements and meals are separate.
