Moussier's Redstart, Phoenicurus moussieri, is a resident breeder in Morocco and north-east Libya, with its breeding range in Africa from Morocco to ne Libya. It lives in open woodland among rocky ground in the Atlas Mountains of north-west Africa, from sea level to 3000 m. The male has a black head, a white stripe above each eye and along the side of the neck, black upperparts with a white wing patch, a chestnut tail and rich orange-red underparts. The female is paler brown above and has softer orange underparts.
