Clibanornis rufipectus (Bangs, 1898)

Santa Marta Foliage-gleaner, Clibanornis rufipectus, is a passerine of the Furnariidae family that breeds in northern Colombia, where it is confined to the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta. It lives in the undergrowth of semi-humid forest, including both intact and secondary woodland, and also uses shaded coffee plantations. It is especially associated with dark ravines. The sexes look alike. Adults show a reddish brown face, a blue bare eye-ring, a dark chestnut tail, and pale rufous underparts that deepen to light rufescent brown on the belly.
