Campylorhynchus yucatanicus

The Yucatan Wren (Campylorhynchus yucatanicus) is a medium-sized wren found in the Yucatan Peninsula of Mexico and northern Belize. It is known for its distinctive white eyebrow stripe and bold black and white barring on its wings and tail. This wren is typically found in dense scrub and dry forest habitats, where it forages for insects and small invertebrates. The Yucatan Wren is known for its loud and varied song, often heard in the early morning and late afternoon. While not currently considered threatened, habitat loss and degradation are potential future threats to this species.
