This three-day trip follows the southern coast from Rio toward the Green Coast and Ubatuba, concentrating on humid lowland Atlantic Forest. The habitat provides a clear contrast to higher mountain birding elsewhere in southeastern Brazil.

Buff-throated Purpletuft, Black-hooded Antwren and Fork-tailed Tody-Tyrant are specifically identified for the search. A varied hummingbird list is another expected feature, although individual species and totals remain dependent on field conditions.
