Spend a full birding day with Samuel Bloch across several Helsinki-region birding sites. This private car and walking tour is designed for visitors who want a broader local route and more time to respond to seasonal bird activity.
Samuel drives guests between selected sites, then birds on foot at wetlands, woods, fields, mudflats or other productive areas depending on the program. Guests should bring a picnic, water and weather-appropriate clothing.
The target mix changes through the season and can include raptors, divers, warblers, flycatchers and other sought-after southern Finland birds.

Meet Samuel at the agreed point and spend about nine hours visiting several Helsinki-region birding sites by car and on foot. The route is selected for seasonal targets, bird activity, weather and group priorities.

- Vanhakaupunki - Helsinki Finland (Wetland, woods, fields, reedbeds and ponds in the Helsinki area.)
- Laajalahti - Helsinki / Espoo Finland (Wetland and woodland habitats with strong migration potential.)

- Transport unless specified - Public transport, ferry tickets or taxi/bike logistics are normally separate; car tours include Samuel driving guests.
- Insurance - Personal insurance is not included.
- Food, drinks and extras - Bring water, snacks or picnic supplies as needed.

Do I need previous birding experience?
No. Samuel adapts the outing for experienced birders, beginners, nature lovers and families.
Are dates fixed?
No. These are private outings by request. Send preferred dates and group size through BirdWatch.info so availability can be confirmed.
What should I bring?
Bring binoculars if you have them, comfortable walking shoes, weather-appropriate layers, water, snacks and mosquito repellent when needed. Samuel can usually lend an extra pair of binoculars.
Does Samuel use playback or baiting?
No. Samuel publicly states that he does not use playback to attract birds, and the photo workshop also avoids playback and baiting.
Can photos and image order be changed?
Yes. The current photos are review selections from Samuel’s public tour pages and can be approved, reordered, replaced or removed.
