Day 1
Ramnagar and entry to Dhikala
The rail option departs Old Delhi at 22:45 the previous evening and arrives at Ramnagar at 05:00, where the guide meets the group with a packed breakfast. Travellers arriving in their own vehicle can meet in Ramnagar. Continue by open 4WD through Dhangarhi gate into the Dhikala zone, following sal forest and the lower track beside the Ramganga River towards the Kanda Range.
After reaching Dhikala, take time for lunch and a rest. An elephant ride may be offered if available; otherwise join an afternoon safari around the edge of the core area and Khinanauli Range. Wildlife viewing can include a chance of tiger, but sightings are not assured. Dinner and overnight are at the basic, clean Dhikala Forest Rest House.
Day 2
Full day inside Corbett
Spend the day inside Corbett with jeep safaris and, when available, elephant rides. The programme focuses on wildlife, birds and crocodiles before another overnight stay at Dhikala Forest Rest House. Breakfast at Dhikala and dinner are the meals specifically named for this day.
Day 3
Grasslands and return to Ramnagar
Take an early nature drive into the grasslands, then return to Dhikala for breakfast and check out. Travel slowly towards the park gate and transfer to Ramnagar for the 21:00 overnight train, scheduled to reach Old Delhi at 05:00 the next morning. The recorded alternative is to collect the parked vehicle and drive back to Delhi.
