Ibisbill

Ibidorhyncha struthersii Vigors, 1832

Ibisbill, Ibidorhyncha struthersii, is a bird of rivers in the Palearctic, breeding from western Tajikistan, south-east Kazakhstan, north-west Xinjiang and north-east Afghanistan through the Himalayas and Tibetan Plateau to Qinghai, Gansu, eastern Inner Mongolia, Hebei and north of Beijing. It is the only member of Ibidorhynchidae. The bird is unmistakable, with grey plumage, a white underside, a black face and breast band, red legs, and a long bill that curves downwards. It was described by Vigors in 1832.
