About this tour

Travel from Akumal into Uxuxubi Al Natural, a community reserve protecting 13,000 hectares of forest. The mix of mature woodland, two ponds and an open cenote supports a varied bird community and makes this a strong half-day option for visitors staying on the Riviera Maya.

The outing lasts about four to five hours. Guests may meet guide Axel Vasquez at the reserve or arrange pickup and return in Akumal. Pickup from Playa del Carmen or Tulum may be available for an additional charge, which is confirmed before booking.

The route is private and paced around current bird activity. Trogons, motmots, toucans, woodpeckers, parrots, orioles and Yucatan specialties are among the possibilities, with no sighting guaranteed.
