Private Custom Catalonia Birding Experience
A private, tailor-made Catalonia birding experience with an ornithologist guide, shaped around season, habitats and your target species.
About this tour
This private birding experience is designed around Catalonia’s changing habitats, from dry cereal country and steppe to wetlands, river deltas, scrub and coastal cliffs. It can be arranged as a half day, a full day or several days, with the route shaped around the season and the birds you hope to find.
Your guide, Pere Alzina i Bilbeny, is an ornithologist with more than two decades of field experience in Catalonia. The format combines short walks with vehicle-based moves between suitable habitats, giving the day a practical pace for birding and photography rather than following a fixed itinerary.
Possible focal species depend on the route and time of year and can include Little Bustard, Bearded Vulture, Purple Swamphen, Audouin’s Gull and Black Wheatear. Current availability, pricing and the best approach for your preferred dates are available through the BirdWatch inquiry form.
