Private 4-Hour Birding Tour at the Covadonga Lakes
A private, easy-paced birding walk around Lake Ercina and the Covadonga highlands, with mountain raptors and seasonal breeders in focus.
About this tour
Travel into the Picos de Europa for a private four-hour session around the Covadonga Lakes. The main walk follows easy, mostly level ground near Lake Ercina, with time to scan the surrounding ridges, crags and pastures.
Bearded Vulture, Griffon Vulture and Golden Eagle are among the possible raptors. In spring and summer, Northern Wheatear and other migrant breeding birds use the open highland habitat, while Common Rock Thrush may also be found. The guide adapts the precise route to access, weather and bird activity.
Pickup from Cangas de Onis, binoculars, telescope, field guides and activity insurance are included. Rates begin at EUR 50 per person, with high-season arrangements confirmed on request.
