About this tour

This five- to six-hour outing follows Tobago’s north coast toward Main Ridge Forest Reserve. Selected pauses around Englishman’s Bay and Bloody Bay introduce the coastal setting before the route reaches the protected rainforest.

Inside Main Ridge, the field session continues on the Gilpin Trail, with attention to native birds and the wider natural history of the forest. The official program is designed for a minimum of two participants; the precise balance between roadside stops and walking follows conditions on the day.

Main Ridge Forest Reserve

Travel along Tobago's north coast road with selected stops such as Englishman's Bay and Bloody Bay, then continue into Main Ridge Forest Reserve for a guided walk on the Gilpin Trail. The day focuses on native tropical coastal and forest species, rainforest ecology and Tobago natural history.
