About this tour
The day begins with a birding stop in a human-modified area used by scavenging raptors, then follows National Route 3 and Provincial Route J as the landscape changes to forest and mountain habitat. White-throated Caracara, other caracaras, Andean Condor and Magellanic Woodpecker are among the birds sought before reaching Almanza.
A gourmet lunch at the Almanza gastronomic area is part of the eight-hour program. Afterwards, birding continues along the Beagle Channel shore, where albatrosses, giant-petrels and cormorants may be present. Departure is at 08:00, with private transfer, specialist guiding, snacks and lunch included; the order and duration of stops remain responsive to conditions.
