About this tour

This morning session concentrates on photographing selected birds at suitable local sites. Doug Herrington uses the target list, recent bird activity and available light to choose among locations around Port Douglas, Mossman and Julatten.

The private format accommodates one to three guests. Less experienced photographers can receive field support, while those with more experience benefit from local site knowledge and a patient pace. Starting time is normally between 06:30 and 07:00, with the session ending at approximately 12:00.

Meet at the arranged pickup point and settle into locations chosen for the requested subjects. The session allows time to work carefully, changing position or habitat when light and bird activity make another site more productive, before returning around midday.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellation charges depend on notice: the operator terms apply a 10% fee at least eight days before the tour, 50% from seven to three days before, and 100% within 48 hours or for a no-show. Confirm final terms before booking.
