The Red-knobbed Coot, scientifically known as Fulica cristata, is a species of bird belonging to the rail family. They are proficient swimmers and divers, using their lobed feet to navigate through the water and feed on aquatic vegetation, insects, and small fish. The Red-knobbed Coot is known for its aggressive behavior during the breeding season, often engaging in territorial disputes and nest defense. This species is widespread in its range and is not currently considered to be at risk of extinction.
