Snail Kite

The Snail Kite is a bird of prey found in the Americas, particularly in wetland habitats. It is known for its specialized diet of apple snails, which it captures using its hooked bill. This medium-sized raptor has a distinctive red eyes, a white tail, and a mostly dark plumage. It has a wingspan of around 120-130 cm and is well-adapted to its wetland habitat. The Snail Kite is listed as Least Concern by the IUCN, but its population is declining due to habitat loss and degradation.
