Sri Lanka Blue Magpie, Urocissa ornata, is a passerine of the Corvidae family that breeds in Sri Lanka. It is confined to the island’s wet zone, especially tall forest in the mountains, foothills and nearby lowlands, and it is not often recorded in gardens or plantations. Its most striking feature is its vivid plumage, with bright blue body feathers, a chestnut head, neck and wing, and a long blue tail ending in white. The bill, legs, feet and bare eye ring are red. It is monogamous and breeds cooperatively.
