Hugo Santa Cruz is the founder, CEO and lead birding guide of Bolivia Birding Expeditions. Based in Santa Cruz de la Sierra, he guides birding expeditions across Bolivia's lowlands, Yungas, dry valleys, Amazon and high Andes. He has nearly ten years of bird guiding experience and more than twenty years as a naturalist guide, with additional field experience in Costa Rica and Panama. He is also a wildlife photographer and was the organizer of the XIV South American Bird Fair in Bolivia in 2025.
