Northeast India Summer Birding Tour
A twelve-day spring and early-summer route from Guwahati and Manas to Sela, Mandala and Eaglenest for Eastern Himalayan forest specialities.
About this tour
This route begins with lowland and grassland birding around Guwahati and Manas before climbing into Arunachal Pradesh. The mountain section visits the Sela and Mandala areas and then spends several days in Eaglenest Wildlife Sanctuary, using Lama Camp and Bompu as field bases.
Spring brings active forest birding across a wide elevation range. The operator reports that 350 to 400 species may be possible under favourable conditions, including a long list of localized pheasants, babblers, parrotbills, trogons and nuthatches. Weather and road access can change the order and intensity of mountain sessions.
The confirmed program runs for twelve days and eleven nights. Current dates, accommodation, transfers, permits, group size, price and final inclusions are provided with the proposal.
