Explore the western side of Mewia Łacha on a private five-hour outing led in English by Ryan. This coastal reserve lies at the eastern end of Sobieszewo Island, where the Vistula reaches the Baltic. The approximately 6.5 km loop connects pine woods, river views, dunes and open shoreline, with a moderate level of fitness needed for the sandy sections.
Start in the pines and follow a cobbled path beside the Vistula. An early viewpoint offers a chance to study ducks and herons before the route reaches softer, uneven sand. From a raised viewing platform, scan the coast for seabirds and look toward distant sandbars where grey seals sometimes rest.
Seasonal bird possibilities include Sandwich and Caspian Terns, lapwings, oystercatchers and Sanderlings. Grey Herons and other waterbirds add to the variety along the river. Which species are present changes through the year, particularly between breeding periods and migration, so the experience follows the wildlife available on the day.
After time at the viewpoint, continue along the coast and return through the forest. Binoculars, a field guide and insect repellent are included. This tour operates throughout the year; suitable footwear is especially useful on the dunes and uneven paths. The seals remain wild and can be distant or absent, making the coastal birdlife and changing habitats central to the walk.

Follow the woodland and riverside path to the first birdwatching stop. Cross sandy ground to the raised platform, scan for coastal birds and distant seals, and complete the loop along the beach and through forest.
