Autumn Birding Tour 2026
Five autumn days in Białowieża and Biebrza for forest birds, migrating raptors, waterfowl and the spectacle of Common Crane roosts.
About this tour
This five-day autumn tour combines Białowieża Forest and Biebrza Marshes at a season of migration, large bird gatherings and heightened mammal activity.
Birding and wildlife highlights
In Białowieża the tour searches for up to eight woodpecker species, including Three-toed, White-backed, Grey-headed and Black Woodpeckers, as well as Pygmy Owl, Nutcracker and Hazel Grouse. Late migrants may include spotted eagles, Penduline Tit and Red-backed Shrike, while Siemianówka Reservoir attracts concentrations of waterfowl and waders.
Biebrza brings the spectacle of hundreds of Cranes gathering at their evening roost. September also overlaps the rut of Red Deer and Elk. Other mammal targets include European Bison and Beaver, with Wolf possible, and a dedicated Beaver boat trip is included.
