About this tour

An eight-to-twelve-hour outing gives Blue Nature more time to explore Madrid’s regional birdlife than the shorter morning option. Meet in Madrid for a day devoted to finding birds in the surrounding landscape, with transport and guiding included.

The regional focus takes in the Sierra de Guadarrama’s mountains and forests, the wetland country of Las Vegas and the eastern steppes. The final program follows conditions in the field: weather, access and bird activity can change the stops. The route remains focused on the Madrid region, without a fixed promise to visit every habitat in one day.

Possible birds span the habitats: Spanish Imperial Eagle and Cinereous Vulture, Spanish Sparrow, Iberian Magpie, Iberian Green Woodpecker, Iberian Grey Shrike and Great Bustard. Which species are encountered depends on the chosen sites and natural conditions. Tell the guide which birds interest you when arranging the outing so the plan can reflect your priorities.

The maximum party size is eight. A solo traveler pays €400; for two people the rate is €200 each, for three it is €130 each, and for four to eight it is €100 per person. Departures are available on request, and the stated duration is a range rather than a fixed return time.
