Private Oaxaca Valley Endemics Birding
Seek Oaxaca Valley endemics on a flexible private day across arid scrub, open woodland and mountain-edge habitat, with hotel pickup included.
About this tour
The Oaxaca Valley sits within an unusually varied state where dry interior habitats meet surrounding mountain ranges. This private day concentrates on the valley’s arid subtropical scrub, open woodland and foothill edges, using local knowledge to connect sites that can hold birds with very restricted ranges.
Priority possibilities include Oaxaca and Bridled Sparrows, Slaty and Dwarf Vireos, Beautiful and Dusky Hummingbirds, Pileated Flycatcher and Ocellated Thrasher. The route is not a fixed checklist: seasonal movements, weather, access and recent activity determine which habitats receive the most time.
Roque collects guests from their hotel for the confirmed one-day format. The programme is available throughout the year and can be adapted to individual interests or a small private party. The current starting price and final timing are handled through the BirdWatch inquiry, while wildlife sightings remain naturally uncertain.
