Saskatoon Winter Birdwatching Tour 2026
A two-hour winter birdwatching tour through Saskatoon parks, combining gentle walking with driving between current songbird and waterbird sites.
About this tour
Explore Saskatoon parks for resident birds and winter visitors such as waxwings, crossbills, chickadees, nuthatches and woodpeckers. River stops may add goldeneye, geese and other waterbirds when open water is available.
The guide identifies birds seen and heard and carries a spotting scope for distant waterfowl. Walking proceeds at a relatively slow pace, and the exact park combination responds to recent sightings, access and weather.
The public and private formats both last two hours. Private tours are offered on most days from December through March, with morning and afternoon options. Optional zoo or museum visits must be agreed separately, and admission charges are not included.
