Village Weaver Birding & Nature Tours

Village Weaver Birding & Nature Tours is an Arusha-based safari company run by bird guides and naturalists. Its tailor-made journeys explore forest, wetland and savannah habitats in East Africa, combining dedicated birdwatching with opportunities for wildlife photography. The team contributes to bird mapping, sound recording and local conservation activities.

Isaac Kilusu is a field guide, bird photographer and sound recordist whose guiding experience spans Tanzania, Kenya and Uganda. His conservation work includes bird mapping, nest monitoring and waterbird counts. He helped establish the Tanzania Birders Community and Kilusu Bird Club, and has encouraged community participation in bird recording and citizen science. His recordings have contributed to bird identification resources, complementing his experience finding and identifying birds in the field.

Frank Priscus Shirima is an ornithologist, herpetologist and naturalist with more than six years of field experience. He combines bird and reptile observation with photography, using images to share the diversity of wild species and habitats. Frank also mentors developing birders and naturalists, encouraging careful observation, curiosity and stewardship.
