About this tour

Explore the remote eastern steppe around Buir Lake, broad wetlands, river corridors and dry grassland close to Mongolia's eastern frontier. Spring and autumn departures are timed for migration and the region's exceptional mix of breeding and passage birds.

Targets include Swan Goose, White-naped Crane, Relict Gull, Amur Falcon, Jankowski's Bunting, Oriental Plover and Mongolian Lark. The programme uses mobile camps to stay close to the strongest birding areas.
