Mongol Daguur Grassland Birding Expedition
A 14-day conservation-linked expedition through Mongol Daguur, the Ulz River wetlands and northeastern steppe migration sites.
About this tour
Discover the Mongol Daguur grasslands, Ulz River valley and Chukh Lake on an expedition developed with the Mongolian Bird Conservation Center. These remote wetlands lie on a major East Asian flyway and support cranes, geese, shorebirds, raptors and a rich passage of woodland migrants.
The journey also brings visitors close to long-term bird research and conservation work at Chukh Bird Research Station. A mobile tented camp allows early access to the most productive sites while keeping the route flexible.
