Saker Falcon, Falco cherrug, is a falcon of the Palearctic, breeding on plains and mountains from central Europe through central Asia to southern Siberia, northern China, the Himalayas and Tibet. Outside the breeding season it occurs in southern Europe, northern and eastern Africa, Iran, Nepal, northern India, and southern and central China. It is a partial migrant, with some birds moving and others remaining in place. In Europe, juveniles are more likely to migrate, while adults are mostly resident. Migratory birds from the west and east winter in different regions.
