Early Spring Birdwatching Tour in Hungary
A five-day early spring Hungary birdwatching tour for wintering geese, raptors, Great Bustard, woodpeckers, Wallcreeper and Alpine Accentor.
About this tour
Early March in Hungary combines wintering birds with the first signs of spring migration, making it a strong period for geese, ducks, raptors and singing field birds.
This route covers Kiskunsag National Park, Lake Tisza, northern Hungarian mountain sites near Belapatfalva, Apaj, Boddi-szek, Kelemen-szek and Pusztaszer Nature Protection Area.
The itinerary is especially suitable for birders interested in Lesser White-fronted Goose, Red-breasted Goose, raptors, Great Bustard, woodpeckers, Alpine Accentor, Wallcreeper and Moustached Warbler.
