Private Eastern Spain Multi-Day Birding Holiday

About this tour

This private holiday brings the main birding landscapes of Valencia and Alicante into one adaptable programme. Productive wetlands and rice fields can be paired with inland mountain country, steppe-like cereal plains and Mediterranean shorelines.

Each habitat contributes a different part of the regional avifauna: scarce ducks, coots and terns around the lagoons; vultures and eagles above the peaks; bustards, stone-curlews and larks across open farmland; and distinctive gulls along the coast.

The four days shown here form a sample framework, not a rigid departure. Valencia Birding also arranges longer or shorter bespoke breaks, so the eventual length, overnight bases, daily order, transport and quotation are built around the guest’s available time and priority species.

Itinerary

Day 1
Valencia wetlands, rice fields and coast
Albufera de Valencia
Open the sample programme around Valencia’s lagoons, reedbeds and rice-growing landscape, adding nearby coastal habitat for ducks, coots, herons, terns, gulls and migrants.
Day 2
Interior peaks for vultures and eagles
Valencian mountains
Move inland to mountain viewpoints, valleys and suitable trails. Griffon Vulture is a central possibility, with eagles, falcons, choughs, swifts, thrushes and wheatears among the supporting cast.
Day 3
Steppe-like farmland and open-country birds
Cereal plains near Valencia
Explore cereal fields and drier open terrain for Great Bustard, Stone-curlew, Calandra and other larks, shrikes, Rock Sparrow and Lesser Kestrel where seasonal conditions are suitable.
Day 4
Alicante wetlands or a custom priority day
Alicante wetlands
Use the final day for Alicante’s wetland network or redirect it toward another regionally appropriate habitat that best serves the guest’s remaining priorities and current reports.

Payment Terms

Once the custom route and total have been accepted in writing, a deposit is usually payable. The balance follows the agreed itinerary’s booking conditions and is confirmed with the personalised offer.

Insurance & Safety

Is four days the only available length?

No. Four days are displayed as a planning example, while the operator’s bespoke holidays can be adjusted to the guest’s time, priorities and logistics.

Which regions can the holiday connect?

A route may combine Valencia and Alicante wetlands with inland mountains, cereal plains, Mediterranean coast and other suitable regional sites.

How is the final itinerary chosen?

The guide balances target birds, season, recent observations, access, weather, travel time and the preferred overnight bases before proposing the sequence.

Are hotels and meals automatically included?

Not in this open-format listing. The personalised quotation must specify accommodation, meal arrangements, transport and any entrance costs.

Can one habitat receive more than a day?

Yes. Because this is a private holiday, the sample distribution can be changed when a target list or field conditions justify concentrating effort elsewhere.
