About this tour

Leave Darwin on Sunday around lunchtime for an overnight experience at Ringwood Station that follows the Top End from sunset and nocturnal wildlife into the bird activity of dawn.

The first afternoon and evening are based around Alligator Hole Billabong, home to a remarkable concentration of freshwater crocodiles. Watch the changing colours at sunset, have dinner in the bush and join a spotlighting walk as crocodiles and other nocturnal wildlife become active.

After camping near the billabong, rise early on Monday for a drive across river, floodplain, woodland and hill habitats to the Gouldian Finch waterhole. Double-barred, Masked and Long-tailed Finches often begin the procession, followed by Gouldian Finches, honeyeaters, doves, parrots and other birds coming to drink.

The core experience returns to Darwin on Monday afternoon. Wildlife is free-ranging and sightings vary. Send your dates, party size, accommodation preferences and mobility needs so current availability, inclusions and price can be confirmed.
