Duck Mountain Park Tour from Saskatoon or Regina or Yorkton: 3 exciting days birding Saskatchewan’s eastern forests
A private three-day self-drive tour from Saskatoon to Duck Mountain Provincial Park, combining eastern forest, lake and wetland birding with Quill Lakes stops.
About this tour
Travel east from Saskatoon towards Duck Mountain Provincial Park, adding wetland and lakeside stops en route. The park's forest, small lakes, hills and creeks support a broad mix of woodpeckers, flycatchers, vireos, wrens, warblers and other woodland birds.
The three-day route includes time in the southern part of the park and may add evening listening for owls. Return stops can include Kamsack, Good Spirit Provincial Park and, on June tours, the south side of the Quill Lakes. All observations depend on season and conditions.
This easy programme is mainly a driving tour with short hikes on level park trails. Participants use one personal or rented vehicle, and meals, accommodation and transportation are not included in the guiding fee.
