About this tour

Northern Ecuador is one of South America's classic birding regions, combining Andean highlands, Choco cloud forest, foothill reserves, hummingbird feeders, antpitta sites, and high-elevation paramo within relatively short driving distances.

This 11-day itinerary starts and ends around Quito and spends several nights in the Mindo area, using local reserves and birding gardens to search for hummingbirds, antpittas, tanagers, toucans, manakins, night birds, Oilbird, Long-wattled Umbrellabird, Torrent Duck, Andean Condor, and many other Ecuadorian specialties.

The tour is based on the itinerary submitted directly by Javier Arias of Mindo Birding Expeditions. Dates, final inclusions, group size, and pricing should be confirmed on request.
